MyFolksBoard.com is your family's shared board: calendar, chores and rewards, shopping and checklists, rides, meals, pets and a wall display for the kitchen.
Sign in at /login with your email and password, or accept an invite link a household owner sent you.
Add the people in your home under People; invite adults so they get their own sign-in.
Add a few chores and a shopping list, then open the Dashboard.
You can create a MyFolksBoard.com account and set up your household entirely from an AI assistant that supports MCP connectors (Claude, ChatGPT, Grok and others).
In your assistant, add a custom connector / MCP server with the URL https://myfolksboard.com/mcp.
The assistant opens a MyFolksBoard.com sign-in page. Choose Create account.
Enter your name, email, a password (10 or more characters) and, if you like, a household name. If you leave it empty we call it "Your name's household"; you can rename it any time.
You're signed in and see Allow assistant to use your household? Choose Allow. You go back to your assistant, now connected.
Check your inbox for Confirm your MyFolksBoard.com email and press Confirm my email (the link works for 48 hours).
Before you confirm: you can already connect and use everything. The only difference: invites you create are not emailed for you until your address is confirmed; you get a link to share yourself instead. Lost the email? Ask the assistant to resend it.
What to ask next. Say "help me set up my household". The assistant uses these tools:
get_started: setup checklist and what's left.
rename_household: give your household a name. create_household makes an extra one (e.g. a second home).
add_person: add the people who live with you (Adult or Kid). No account needed.
invite_member: invite adults or kids to sign in themselves (role Adult or Kid). With an email address and a confirmed account, the invite is emailed.
add_chore: create the first chores, with an assignee or a rotation.
resend_verification_email: send the confirmation link again.
Some assistants only show a short list of tools at first; the others are found through find_tools. Everything in a household (notes, chores, lists, calendar) is shared with that household's members; there are no notes or tasks that only one member can see.
Calendar
The Calendar shows family events, chores that are due, rides and stays in one place.
Tap Add event to create one; assign people so it shows on their view.
To see the family calendar in Google or Apple Calendar, open Calendar and copy the subscribe link (read-only ICS). Anyone with the link can read it; regenerate it to revoke.
Chores and rewards
Create chores under Chores with who does them and how often. Done chores earn points.
Kids can tick their own chores; a grown-up can require approval before points count.
Set up Rewards (screen time, treats, outings) with a point price. Kids request a reward and a grown-up approves it.
Skip or snooze a chore when life happens; it won't count against anyone.
Checklists and shopping
Use Shopping for groceries (checked items can restock the pantry) and Checklists for everything else: packing, school mornings, trip prep.
Save a checklist as a template to reuse it next time.
Checklists can be ticked on the wall display if you allow it in Home display settings.
Rides
Kids and adults can post a ride request (where, when). Drivers in the household see pending requests and tap to take one; the ride then shows on the calendar.
Wall display and PINs
Turn a tablet or TV into a family board: open Home display, create the wall display link and open it in the device's browser (kiosk mode works well). The link needs no password, so treat it like a key; regenerate it to cut off old screens.
Give each member a PIN so they can open their own view on the wall. Owners can reset a PIN from Home display.
Too many wrong PINs lock that member out for a while.
Connect AI assistants (MCP)
MyFolksBoard.com works with AI assistants through MCP. Server URL: https://myfolksboard.com/mcp
In your assistant, add a custom connector / MCP server with that URL.
Sign in (or create an account) and approve access for one household.
Ask things like "what's on today?", "add milk to the shopping list" or "mark Emma's dishes chore done".
You can see and revoke connected assistants under Access. Kids' connections only get kid-safe tools.
Alexa
Link Alexa from the AI assistant page in the app and follow the steps shown there. Then say "Alexa, ask MyFolksBoard what's due today". To unlink, disable the skill in the Alexa app or revoke it under Access.
Privacy and data export
Your household's data is only visible to its members. We don't sell data or show ads. Read the full privacy policy.
Owners can download everything (data.json, a CSV per section and uploaded files) as a ZIP: Account → Export all data. To delete your account or household, send us a request below.
Account and passwords
Forgot your password? Use Reset password: we email you a one-time link that expires in 1 hour.
Change your password while signed in under Account.
Owners can also send a member a reset link from Access.
Invite adults from People; they get an email with a one-time invite link.
Delete your account
Open Account and choose Delete my account. Enter your password and type DELETE to confirm. If you are the only owner of a household that has other people in it, first make someone else an owner, or choose to delete that household too.
