Delete in the app

- Open Account and choose Delete my account.
- Enter your password, type DELETE, and confirm. If you sign in with Google only, we email you a confirmation link instead.
If you are the only owner of a household that has other people in it, make someone else an owner first (Access), or choose to delete that household and everything in it for everyone.
What is deleted
- Your account: name, email, password, Google sign-in link and wall PIN.
- Your sign-ins on every device, personal API tokens, connect and calendar links.
- Every AI assistant connection (OAuth grant), including Alexa account linking.
- Any household where you are the only member, with all of its data (lists, chores, calendar, documents, photos, notes and more). Same for a household you choose to delete.
- Your name on support tickets you filed is replaced by "Deleted user".
What is kept, and for how long
- Shared households you leave: things you added to a household that other people still use (for example a chore or a shopping item) stay with that household, because they belong to everyone in it. Your account is removed from it.
- Backups: our database is continuously backed up. These backups roll off automatically after 7 days, plus up to 7 more days in the storage provider's deleted-file recovery. Occasional snapshots we take before an update are deleted after 30 days. We never restore deleted accounts from backups.
- Security log: one record that "an account was deleted" with the date and how many households were affected. It contains no name, email or other personal data.
- Email provider: our email service keeps a delivery log of messages we sent you (for example this confirmation link) for its standard retention period.
